Community Update
June 10, 2025Community Update – Sep. 2025
September 23, 2025
Dear Residents,
We’re pleased to provide the July 2025 community update. A number of projects are now underway across Lakeridge Park, and we appreciate everyone’s continued cooperation and support as we work toward improving our community.
Michelle Crescent Stairs Removal & Replacement
The stairway between Michelle Crescent and Tomat Avenue has now been fully removed due to safety concerns and seasonal timing. We are in the process of collecting vendor quotes for replacement and anticipate moving forward with installation within 60–90 days, pending final approvals.
We understand the delay has been frustrating, and we appreciate your patience while we ensure the new stairs are safe, compliant, and built to last.
Parking Enforcement Update
We are now nearing the end of the warning ticket phase of our parking enforcement strategy. Residents have been given time to adjust and comply, and we will soon begin issuing monetary tickets followed by towing for continued non-compliance.
As of August, the enforcement process will include one monetary ticket, and if the violation continues, the vehicle will be towed without further notice. In cases of chronic or repeat violations, towing may occur immediately with no additional warnings or fines.
These actions are being taken to prioritize the safety of children, pedestrians, cyclists, and emergency service access throughout the community.
Fire Hazard Tree & Shrub Removal
We’ve partnered with Bartlett Tree Experts, who have been working extensively to trim overgrown vegetation and remove fire hazards from common areas. This has been a major undertaking, and we thank residents for your cooperation.
All residents — including tenants and owners — are asked to inspect their lots for fire hazard trees or shrubs. Dead or hazardous vegetation must be removed. Notices may be issued where required.
To support this effort:
- Bartlett Tree Experts is offering preferred pricing to Lakeridge Park residents
- D-Scapes Landscaping, our new common area landscaper, can also assist with smaller fire hazard removals
- 4 Directions Landscaping is also available to assist residents and owners with general maintenance needs on their private lots
Please note that these are independent companies, not directly affiliated with Lakeridge Park Residential Corp.
Preferred Junk Removal Program
We’ve also partnered with 1-800-GOT-JUNK to offer discounted rates to residents. Depending on the job and scope, you may receive up to 20% off. In addition, they will provide gift cards for jobs exceeding a few hundred dollars — a small thank-you for participating in the cleanup.
Community Policing & Safety Coordination
We’ve completed a community traffic safety report for the Tomat, Sneena, and Hayman intersection, which has been formally submitted to the RCMP in support of installing stop signs and crosswalks.
Additionally, the RCMP visited our community the week of July 7th, 2025, and emphasized the importance of residents continuing to report suspicious or threatening activity immediately. These reports help them monitor trends and allocate appropriate resources alongside WFN Bylaw Services.
We’ve already noticed an increased RCMP presence — your efforts are making a difference.
Bayview Court Asphalt Repair
We’ve started a crack sealing project on Bayview Court, which may be expanded to include targeted asphalt replacement depending on findings from our professional assessment team.
Looking Ahead
We’re committed to returning Lakeridge Park to a sustainable standard and look forward to tackling new capital projects as resources allow. Your involvement and feedback remain vital to our ongoing success.
Thank you for being part of this positive change — together we are building a safer, cleaner, and more connected community.
Sincerely,
Lakeridge Park Residential Corp., the general partner of WFN Development Limited Partnership
